  • Polyester, Cotton & More – Our Expanding Range of Digital Fabric Printing Services

Meshtex has been involved in the textiles industry since 1972, supplying colour separation services and rotary screen engraving to the fashion, furnishings and wallpaper industries. In 2005, we started to produce printed fabric homeware products and kitchenware products as a diversification, initially via our personalised gifts website photoimageart.

From there we continued to go from strength to strength in the fabric printing and homeware product production business, and more recently this lead to Meshtex Printing Services being born.

Meshtex printing services is a trade only supplier of wide format digitally printed fabrics & Homeware and Kitchenware product manufacturing services including CMT.

We work with trade only, and offer small minimums,  fast turnaround, and our prices are extremely competitive.

When it comes to digitally printed fabric, we started off focusing on printing a wide range of cotton based fabrics, printed with reactive inks, as this method of printing best suited the customers that we were working for at the time. It made perfect sense to enter this market as it was a natural diversification to best utilize our colour separation skills, which have been our strong point since 1972.

After a short period of time being very successful producing quality digitally printed cotton fabric by the metre we very quickly decided to expand in this area, to offer CMT services, so that we could offer finished made up products such as custom tea towel printing, custom cushion printing, aprons, bags, pillow cases, oven gloves and many more homeware and kitchenware products.

So at this point we were offering a trade only fabric printing service covering a wide range of  cotton fabrics.

We then began to receive trade enquiries for the various homeware and kitchenware products we had previously only been producing in smaller volumes to the personalised giftware industry, therefore we began also offering bulk printing services to trade for these items, such mugs,  wooden coasters, bottle openers/bar blades, keyrings and various other products.

Producing digitally printed fabric by the roll onto cotton based fabrics, using reactive inks, worked really well for us and adding the other bulk products made perfect sense, especially as it was evident that customers were looking for quality products produced here in the UK and were 100% UK made.

However, we began to receive enquiries also for UK based wide format digital printing onto polyester fabric, and we came to realise that only offering  printed cotton fabrics meant that we were missing a huge chunk of the digital fabric printing market, so we decided to add polyester fabrics to our range.

This meant investing in a wide format printer using dye sublimation inks and also a rotary heat press to allow us to sublimate rolls of sublimation paper onto our many different polyester fabrics.

What this all means, is that Meshtex Printing Services can now offer digital fabric printing services for a wide range of polyester fabrics, and cotton fabrics, and custom printed homeware production onto a wide range of polyester and cotton fabric products, as well as non-textile products such as wooden products, ceramic products, metal, glass and more.
